Millbrook High School named Dave White its next head volleyball coach on Tuesday.

White has over 20 years of playing experience and 12 years of coaching experience in both indoor and beach volleyball. He currently serves as the director of the Blue Ridge Volleyball Association, where he and his wife Joy founded the club's beach volleyball program in 2018.

White will take over for Carla Milton, who resigned from her position in March after 10 years at Millbrook.

“I’m honored and excited for the opportunity to be the new MHS Volleyball Coach," White said in a press release. "After spending the last 10 years (alongside my wife and an amazing coaching staff) helping to grow both the indoor and beach game through Blue Ridge Volleyball Association, high school volleyball seems like the next logical challenge.

"The talent and level of play in this area has grown dramatically in the last ten years. We look to continue that at MHS. These athletes feel a sense of pride in playing for their high school, and I'm 'all in' for supporting them in their endeavors on and off the court and in making the Millbrook community proud. We are ready to get to work and start the new era of MHS Volleyball.”

White's daughter, Madelyn, played for Millbrook and graduated in 2022. She is now at Division I Central Arkansas. His younger daughter, Emma, will graduate from Legacy Christian Academy this year and attend Division I North Alabama.
